How can I enter?
To participate in the new edition of SELECTED you must fill out the inscription form for professionals or schools
and send your work in PDF format, according to the following instructions, prior to the submission deadline.
Submission deadline
The deadline for submitting your work is Friday 11 December 2009.
You will receive a 10% discount off the inscription fee if you send your work before 1 November 2009.
What can I submit?
As a professional, you may submit up to 10 projects which have been released over the course of 2009.
Design schools may present up to 20 students/projects per school.
What categories can I enter for?
As a professional, you can take part in the Graphic Design and/or New Media categories under the following subjects:
Graphic Design: calendars, catalogues/brochures, editorial design, exhibitions/tradeshow stands, corporate identities, illustration, logos, packaging, pictograms/signage, posters, promotions (displays, POS, t-shirts, postcards, greeting cards, flyers) and typography.
New Media: advergaming/video games, advertising campaigns or events, e-mail marketing, interactive installations, motion graphics and web design.
The Schools section will compile students projects apart, under the same categories as the sections of Graphic Design and New Media.

How much does it cost?
The cost of participation is as follows:
1 project: €65
2 projects: €110
3 projects: €160
4 projects or more (up to 10): €170

If you submit the same project for more than one category it will be regarded as a separate project in each individual category.

How should I submit my work?
We can only accept pieces submitted in accordance with these instructions. You must submit the following material:
1. A fully completed inscription form for professionals or schools with detailed information on each project, up to a maximum of 10 projects/pieces.
You will receive an e-mail confirming your inscription and, for identification purposes, we will assign you a participant number. Once you have your number, you can begin submitting projects.
2. Create a PDF file for every project you submit.
Name each PDF file beginning with your participant number (that way we will know it is yours).
Submit one single-page file per project. The document must be a PDF file with 300 ppi resolution and embedded fonts. The format must be DIN-A3 and should indicate the title of the project, the name of the client and a description of maximum 50 words in English. Please see the sample template. DO NOT include the name of the studio or the designer.
In the case of schools, the project description should be long enough to provide a clear explanation of the project.

For submitting projects under the category of New Media you should send the .avi, .exe, .mpeg or .mov files (if it's in video or multimedia format) or indicate the URL address in the inscription form (if it's a website).
3. Send us the PDF files of the projects. There are three ways to submit them:

or schools@indexbook.com (schools) providing the FTP address where we may download the documentation. Please indicate the host, username and password and the path of the file.
You do not need to submit physical samples of your work.
4. If you work is selected we will contact you at the e-mail address you have provided in order to obtain the definite material required for publication: high-resolution images in TIFF format, text and off-line versions for the DVD (if featured in the New Media section).
