
Héctor Ayuso OFFF www.offf.ws
Héctor Ayuso was the founder of OFFF and has served as its director since 2000, as well as director-general of the agency Inofffensive.
He studied Film Directing in Barcelona. He has directed five short films, two feature films and various documentaries, including the documentary produced for the inaugural Benicàssim Music Festival and a documentary on Stefan Sagmeister.
In 1995, he formed his first interactive development agency, thus launching his career as an art director in the digital media.
Since 2001, he has organised and spoken at international events such as OFFF, L'Alternativa, Mediarama, Mecal, Experimenta Club, Digit 2002, the 20th Marató de l'Espectacle, ArtFutura, Semi-Permanent 2004, MarketingFest, FlashForMexico, JAL04, Sonar, Ars Electronica and Cimatics.
He has developed interactive visual design projects for clients such as Barcelona City Council, the French Institute of Barcelona, Cinema Jove, ECM Barcelona, Derivat, Ordino Studios, ArtFutura, Lateral Thinking, Lucky Strike, San Miguel, Quatrelletres, Casellas PGE, Creative, Boxfresh, Red Bull, Adobe, Diesel, Brugal and Rimax. He has also worked alongside other artists in developing multidisciplinary arts projects and performances.
Ayuso has received many accolades for his work in promoting culture, including the Premio Tendencias awarded by the Spanish newspaper El Mundo, and for his contributions to magazines such as B-Guided and H Magazine.
Born in Valencia, Spain, Héctor Ayuso has been teaching since 2005 at BAU Escola Superior de Disseny (in the master's programme in Motion Graphics) and at the IED school in Barcelona. In addition, he organised the OFFF series of lectures at these institutions. He has also been a visiting lecturer at New York University (NYU), the Autonomous University of Querétaro and Senac São Paulo, among others.
